Research into chloroplast redox signalling at Queen Mary is led by the group of Professor John Allen.

The Chloroplast Sensor Kinase that links photosynthetic redox state to gene expression in chloroplasts is located by green fluorescent protein labelling in the chloroplast (Puthiyaveetil et al., 2008, PNAS)
